Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) (Click on the image to zoom)

In 1997, the European Union began to formalize the requirements for pressure bearing equipment entering into and being used in the EU. The result of these requirements was the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). This directive was fully implemented in 2002. The result is that any pressure bearing equipment, such as pumps and valves, must be produced in accordance with the directive and ultimately carry the CE marking.

PPCP produces thousands of castings annually that end up in the EU. To comply with the PED we have built a Quality Assurance System that meets or exceeds all of the requirements of the directive. PPCP is certified PED through Hartford Steam Boiler International and is audited regularly to ensure strict compliance. The document you see is the copy of our certification which is valid through June 2011.
