In November 2008 PPCP began to see a significant drop in order levels. Most manufacturing organizations were impacted by the general economy which resulted in reduced levels of sales and opportunities. PPCP responded by making adjustments internally to remain viable through the down time. We also used this as an opportunity to get busy working on the company performance indicators. We have achieved a great deal of success, especially over the past 6 months.
ON TIME DELIVERY:
PPCP was never outstanding
in relation to delivery performance. We at times were not even respectable. This
was PRIORITY #1 for our Management Team: Upper Management, Supervisors, and
employees developed the system and parameters to change this PERMANENTLY. The
results have been impressive:
OVERALL PLANT PERFORMANCE:
December 2009: 68%
(ran similar poor levels last 4-6 months of 2009)
January 2010: Challenge to
shop was 85%. We hit 83%.
February 2010: Goal was 90%. Shop hit 94.4%
March 2010: Goal was 95%. Shop hit 94.1%
April 2010: Goal was 95%. Shop
hit 97.2%.
We will continue to work to improve
these numbers and maintain them. It is the best performance we have had in our
history. System created WORKS and will continue to work

individually rather than applying "across the board" increases to our customer
